The neo-classical limestone mansion would still be the borough’s most expensive single-family ever if it sold for the new asking price of $18 million. However, Halstead Property’s Jackie Lew and Marc Wisotsky, who have the listing for the three-story home, are marketing it as a commercial property, Brownstoner said.

The mansion is still asking $65,000 per month for rent, according to the updated listing, Brownstoner noted. The home, at 105 Eighth Avenue, features dark wood, an Italian marble fireplace, a grand marble entry hall with bronze doors and a vaulted ceiling, as TRD has previously reported.
