A vacant lot located at 79 Eldridge Street between Grand and Hester streets has hit the market for $4.55 million, Bowery Boogie reported — noting that small vacant lots like this one are increasingly being sold in the area.Massey Knakal has the listing for the lot, which offers 15,180 buildable square feet in an area that, though commercially zoned, permits residential conversion. Michael DeCheser, Darragh Clarke and Mei Ling Wong have the listing.

For example, as previously reported, four lots in the neighborhood traded hands this summer for $12.4 million. An LLC started by Samy Mahfar’s SMA Equities picked up the lots, primed for development, which straddle the southwest corner of Houston and Eldridge streets.

A little north, as previously reported, a lot on Avenue B is slated to get a new apartment building. [Bowery Boogie]Zachary Kussin
