Bank of East Asia CEO and chairman David Li, a former Hong Kong politician, has sold his Time Warner Center duplex for $18.8 million, the New York Observer reported, citing city records. Li purchased the 3,491-square-foot condo, on the 72nd floor, in 2004, for $9.68 million, the Observer said. The duplex, at the building also known as 25 Columbus Circle, was listed in May for $20 million with Carrie Chiang and Janet Wang of the Corcoran Group.

The buyer is listed in city records only as AEH Jay Corp.

The two-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom apartment overlooks Central Park, and has an internal elevator, the Observer said.

Related executive Kenneth Himmel also recently sold his Time Warner Center condo for $13.8 million, as previously reported. [NYO] –Hayley Kaplan
