The development of a 13-story hotel was planned and then scrapped at the site, which has been vacant for six years. Massey Knakal Realty Services is marketing the lot, at 71 Fourth Avenue, as a prime spot for development.

“Plans exist for a nine story mixed-use building with eight floor-through apartments and a bi-level retail space with double height ceilings,” said the listing, cited by Curbed. Two buildings can fit on the property and can be delivered vacant, the listing said. [Curbed]Mark Maurer
