The firm filed an application with the Department of Buildings last month for a seven-story, 164-unit building at 149 Kent Avenue, near North 5th Street. GF55 will design the 143,941-square-foot building, which will have both private and common rooftop terraces, as well as bicycle storage and attended parking. Most of the space – 129,287 square feet – will be residential, while the rest will house retail.

L+M paid $19.98 million for the commercially zoned property, as The Real Deal reported. Before that, WB Acquisition owned it. L+M partnered with Toll Brothers, City Living and RD Management on the first tower of Northside Piers, a 450-unit residential building. [BuzzBuzzHome]Mark Maurer
