Fredrik Eklund’s nuptials to air on MDLNY tonight

Million Dollar Listing New York star Fredrik Eklund’s nuptials to Zimbabwe-born Derek Kaplan will air tonight on the latest episode of the Bravo TV series — and it’s sure to be dramatic, the Hollywood Reporter revealed.

Eklund, who told the Reporter that the dramatic season finale was filmed with Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka, also explained that viewers will see a softer side of him in the episode.

“A show like this is so high pressure and a big deal and there are big negotiations and attorneys and buyers and sellers, and it doesn’t show enough of our softer sides,” he told the Reporter.

Eklund, a broker at Douglas Elliman, went on to say that despite uncomfortable talks about prenups and monogamy, viewing the episode was an emotional experience for the duo, who wed Feb. 9 on Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys. He also spoke about his thrill at the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that struck down a key section of the Defense of Marriage Act, saying the couple had hoped and prayed it would happen.

The season finale is also to include a fight between Eklund and Ryan Serhant that Eklund told the Reporter “was a long time coming.” — Julie Strickland
