Google chairman Eric Schmidt is spending millions of dollars to keep his supposedly womanizing ways under wraps in a Flatiron District penthouse at 31 West 21st Street, the New York Post reported.

The condominium, which Schmidt purchased for $15 million, stood in for Shia LaBeouf’s glamorous pad in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.” But apparently Schmidt needs more shut eye: He reportedly shelled out millions to get the 6,250-square-foot duplex soundproofed, saying he made the alterations because he “doesn’t sleep well.” Still, the move will afford the rumored Lothario complete privacy, the Post noted.

The four-bedroom pad features a large entertainment area and a wet bar opening onto a 3,300-square-foot terrace.

And while a doorman building may be de rigueur for Manhattan’s elite, Schmidt told a source, cited by the Post, that he didn’t want one.

“He doesn’t want anyone to see him and his guests coming in and out,” the source told the Post. “He insisted on his own elevator.” [NYP] — Julie Strickland
