Park Slope community board mulls historic district extension

Park Slope’s community board will consider the second extension of the neighborhood’s historic district today. Community Board 6’s Land Use and Landmarks Committee will consider the extension, which is roughly half the size of the recent extension and would include 287 buildings.

The proposed district would extend landmarking west toward Fifth Avenue and south toward Union Street, Brownstoner reported. Buildings in the area represent a wide variety of architectural styles, including Queen Anne buildings by Montrose Morris, according to the website.
