Central Park West’s Renaissance mansion gets $17.5M

Central Park West’s castle has finally sold for $17.5 million, after first hitting the market two years ago with an ask that was nearly twice the final price tag.

The 249 Central Park West mansion was picked up by the aptly named Central Park West LLC, according to city records cited by Curbed.

The property’s previous owner paid $14.4 million for the turreted, 10,014-squre-foot manse back in 2006. The digs boast expansive park views and contain many of the historic property’s original details, such as carved mahogany mantles, a fully-paneled dining room and Tiffany-era stained glass windows on every floor.
