Online clothing retailer Zady is setting up a temporary physical presence in LaGuardia Airport’s Delta Terminal D.

The holiday pop-up shop opens today and will run through Jan. 4, Crain’s reported, replacing gourmet market store Cibo in a 300-square-foot space.

OTG management, which operates the airport’s retail, oversaw the deal.

The shop will join a bevvy of retail options in New York City’s airports, which have turned the spaces into cash machines for owners and operators.

LaGuardia boasted gross sales of $111.9 million in 2012, a 10 pecent jump from $101.7 million in 2009 and up 25 percent from 2010, as The Real Deal previously reported.

Nearby John F. Kennedy International Airport completed a 360,000-square-foot expansion in May, welcoming new retailers Thomas Pink, Michael Kors and handbag shop Coach. [Crain’s]Julie Strickland
