A Greenwich Village condominium where rock guitar virtuoso Jimi Hendrix stored his ax after performing at Woodstock in 1969 has hit the market for $6 million.

The 2,500-square-foot pad on the 11th floor of 59 West 12th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, was combined from two units. The owner is a partner at interior design firm Carolina George.

“The price, the location, and two working fireplaces — out of all the apartments I’ve shown this year, nothing’s had more interest,” Douglas Elliman super broker Leonard Steinberg told the New York Daily News.

The star-studded building’s residents include Marisa Tomei, Cameron Diaz, and Isaac Mizrahi, who bought a third unit there in 2010 for $3.3 million in order to combine them. [NYDN]Mark Maurer
