Former 5Pointz curator takes Nolita

With 5Pointz’s graffiti white washed, its onetime curator Jonathan Cohen — also known by the graffiti tag Meres One — has moved on to fresh wall space.

For the month of December, the clothing company Rag & Bone is letting the prominent street artist curate street art on a wall outside its Nolita shop, according to DNAinfo.

“5Pointz and Meres One are ever so grateful to be offered their first step back up by Rag & Bone,” the artist said in a statement.

Rag & Bone has hosted rotating murals at its Nolita location, at Elizabeth and East Houston Streets, since 2010. Cohen plans to paint a “film noir” version of his “Bright Idea,” — yellow light bulbs that have become his signature. [DNAinfo]Christopher Cameron
