The Dutch firm UNStudio has unveiled plans to plaster a Chinese shopping center with 42,333 steel spheres.

The plans for the new high-end mall, dubbed Hanjie Wanda Square, in the Wuchang district of Wuhan, China will also include LED light fixtures in each of the orbs that will cycle various colors across the building’s façade, according to Curbed.

UNStudio founder Ben van Burkel describes the white and chrome interior as “an almost fantastical world… similar perhaps to the world of theater, whereby the retail complex becomes almost a stage or a place of performance and offers a variety of different impressions and experiences to the visitor.” [Curbed]Christopher Cameron
