Longchamp heir pays $7M for Upper West Side townhouse

An heir to the posh leather brand Longchamp has paid $7 million for an Upper West Side townhouse that has made several cameos on the hit show “Law & Order.” Olivier Cassegrain, who is a managing director at Longchamp and a member of the company’s founding family, bought the 126 West 87th Street home from actors Peter Maloney and Kristin Griffith, according to city records.

The six-bedroom, four-story landmarked townhouse was listed for $8.75 million by Town Residential’s Deborah Sabec, the New York Observer reported.

Built in 1888, it boasts a penthouse with twin terraces, a butler’s pantry and a south-facing private garden, according to the listing. Maloney and Griffith paid $450,000 for the house and invested about $2 million in updates and renovations, according to the newspaper.
