A Hamptons penthouse by praised interior designer Steven Gambrel has hit the market asking $4.49 million.

Originally the model unit in the Sag Harbor condo-conversion building the Watchcase, Gambrel overhauled every inch of the unit with his signature style.

The two-bedroom, 1,920-square-foot unit first went into contract back in October, priced at $4.41M, but is now back on the market with a higher ask. It is unclear whether the deal fell through or whether the new owner is attempting to flip the unit. [Curbed]Christopher Cameron

  • Watchcase is a project, that everybody in the Hamptons got very excited about. Condominium developments have been a great success overall . Starting with Bishop Pond’s new development that is getting sold out, as soon as they become available, and ending with the record-price Watchcase in Sag Harbor. In my opinion, it happens because there are very few options for buyers out here, who don’t want to deal with house maintenance and who enjoy the offered services .
