Lower Manhattan-based architecture firm Goldstein, Hill & West is formally breaking into interior design with a new spinoff firm known as Whitehall Interiors NYC, according to a spokesperson.

Prior to Whitehall’s launch, the firm’s staff handled interior design for the 338-unit rental tower the Continental, and lobby upgrades at 488 Madison Avenue and 7 Penn Plaza. The Feil Organization’s Penn Plaza building, for example, gained a 16-foot entrance and limestone finishes.

Last month, Goldstein, Hill & West was tapped to design Ironstate Development’s 152-foot-tall apartment project at 221 West 29th Street in Chelsea, as The Real Deal reported. — Mark Maurer
