Former Newmark Grubb Knight Frank managing director Kenji Ota has jumped ship for Cushman & Wakefield, according to a press release from Cushman.

Ota joined Cushman as an executive director, departing a post in which he was responsible for business development and account management for commercial property owners and retail tenants, as well repositioning and property upgrades.

With NGKF, Ota recently represented the Magna Hospitality Group’s 15,700-square-foot Planet Fitness lease in August, and tenant Under Armor in a 15-year deal for a flagship store at 583 Broadway. — Julie Strickland
