Harlem real estate broker Laurent Delly reached a settlement in a lawsuit against Halstead Property and celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. The broker had accused Samuelsson of conspiring with a Halstead broker, Kim McKeller, to cheat him out of his 3 percent commission on the purchase of a $2.9 million Harlem townhouse.

Delly claimed in the suit filed in October that the seller’s broker received a 6 percent commission, and he therefore was owed a $75,000 cut, as previously reported. Attorneys for Samuelsson and McKeller declined to comment to DNAinfo. Samuelsson acquired the home at 30 West 120th Street in January 2013, as previously reported.

“People who know me well enough know that this was never about financial gain, rather a matter of principle, respect and dignity,” Delly told DNAinfo. [DNAinfo]Mark Maurer
