Judith — also known as Brendan Fagan – turned himself over to police yesterday morning. A video of the artist climbing up the bridge to install one of his Golden Child pieces went viral last month, leading to a police investigation. Supine was charged with violation of local law, reckless endangerment and criminal trespass, according to Gothamist.
This isn’t the first time the artist has climbed hunks of city real estate to display his work. Back in 2007, Supine hung a large-scale portrait of a man hanging from the Manhattan Bridge. And in 2009, he placed a work at the top of the Williamsburg Bridge. That same year he installed another piece in a lake in Central Park.
“It’s just something I like to do for fun. To be naughty and run around the city and put my art in places I’m not supposed to,” Supine told WCBS 2. [Gothamist] – Christopher Cameron
