New city-backed website hopes to draw tourists to Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the Brooklyn tech company BlankSlate are launching a new tourism website specifically for Brooklyn. 

The site, called ExploreBK.com, will launch on May 9, and officials hope that it will bring Brooklyn some of the 54 million tourists NYC saw last year, according to the New York Daily News.

“ExploreBK.com is going to take all of the great things in The Coolest Place in America, from shopping to dining to events, and put it into a one-stop shop website for all things Brooklyn,” Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce president Carlo Scissura told the Daily News.

Promoted attractions include Barclays Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Brooklyn Museum. [NYDN]Christopher Cameron
