Halstead Property has purchased another boutique real estate firm to beef up its ranks.

The company acquired REAction International, A Firm Located On 57th Street that was founded by Ellie Wald. A spokesperson told TRD Wald will join Halstead effective immediately and work as a broker, alongside his team of six agents, out of Halstead’s Park Avenue office. In addition, 20 REAction agents will join other neighborhood offices of the firm.

The purchase price paid by Halstead was not disclosed.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ellie and his amazing team of outstanding agents to the Halstead family,” said Halstead CEO Diane Ramirez and president James Gricar in a joint statement. “Ellie has established a strong reputation in the real estate marketplace as a dedicated, innovative and international broker who goes above and beyond for his clients and customers.”

Wald, a native of South Africa, founded REAction in 2010. He grew up in Israel and came to the United States 15 years ago.

“When I recognized the opportunity for my firm to join forces with Halstead, I knew that it was a natural progression and that it would create an amazing synergy. Halstead is well-known as a pioneer in the real estate industry with a strong emphasis on marketing and technology that will help grow our business exponentially to the next level,” he said in a statement.

The move by Halstead comes a year after the firm acquired the assets of Aguayo Real Estate Group, a boutique Brooklyn brokerage and development firm, bringing the company’s presence in the borough up to five offices. The firm now has six offices there, having opened another in Bed-Stuy last month.
