Landmarked property boasts wood-burning fireplace and formal dining room

A Murray Hill townhouse that evokes comparisons to the hit 1980s TV series “Miami Vice” has popped back up on the market, this time asking $8 million.

Officially known as the George S. Bowdoin Carriage House, the three-story Murray Hill property at 149 East 36th Street hit the market in 2011 for just under $14 million.

Brown Harris Stevens’ Brahna Yassky has the listing for the Dutch Renaissance Revival property, which was built in 1902 and designated a landmark in 1997. The townhouse sports a formal dining room and a living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The current owner bought the property in 2005 for $5 million, according to Curbed. [Curbed] – Hiten Samtani
