In February, the final penthouse at Tribeca’s 56 Leonard hit the market for $18.75 million. Since then, construction on the Jenga-like tower being developed by Alexico Group and Hines has made significant progress, finally giving buyers a real-life idea of what they are paying an average $5,213 per square foot for.
The Herzog & de Meuron-designed tower is now about 23 floors above street level. When completed, 56 Leonard will stand 821 feet and 56 stories high, according to Curbed.
Currently, a four-bedroom penthouse in the building is in contract for $47 million. [Curbed] — Christopher Cameron
