Hamptons selfies are about to become even more rampant, now that beach shuttles are installing “selfie machines.”

The Free Ride, which transports Hamptons vacationers to the beach, has installed selfie photo booths in 19 of its electric shuttles.

“Everyone’s very selfie crazy right now,” Alex Esposito, 27, an East Hampton native and Free Ride co-founder, told the New York Post. “We had a ton of people getting into cars and taking pictures of themselves with cellphones. We thought it might be fun to build [the machines].”

Esposito told the Post that the backseat mounted iPads intended specifically to facilitate selfies were tested in Palm Beach, Fla., before coming to the Hamptons.

“There’s a quick spot check,” he said. “We try to make sure there’s nobody flashing the cameras.” [NYP] Christopher Cameron
