Yesterday on the second day of the giant International Council of Shopping Centers’ trade show, New York retail professionals hit the Las Vegas Convention Center and the party circuit with gusto. That followed a quiet Sunday during which most of the city’s deal makers schmoozed and socialized poolside in cabanas in the bright desert sun. But on Monday retail brokers and investors headed to the floor of the ICSC’s RECon 2014 for the hump day of the three-day event that ends today. And after hours of walking the convention or making a side trip to Caesar’s Palace to meet with mall developers Simon, Macerich and Westfield, attendees headed to the parties. Thousands of people turned out for what many New Yorkers consider the highlight of the large events hosted during the ICSC convention, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s bash at the Marquee Nightclub in the Cosmopolitan hotel. — Adam Pincus
