Comedian and filmmaker Louis C.K. bought a Shelter Island home where baseball legend Babe Ruth used to spend his summers.

He paid $2.49 million for the three-story house, known as Primrose Cottage, on a two-acre site. The house has six bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and five fireplaces. He plans to renovate the property, which was on the market for $3.5 million. [NYP]Mark Maurer

To CMP: And do you live in the Hamptons? Doubtful, otherwise you’d be too busy to be drooling over properties you can’t afford. I think this is a lovely property where the family can have a lot of fun away from all the snobbery.

I love Louie CK. You just better stick to what you know. Apparently that is nothing. It is a lovely property and I have been on it many times.

I live in the Hamptons and I am not happy about this. Mr. CK (not his real name) can eat a bag of dicks.
