Hamptons real estate investor Andrew Borrok of Borrok Properties is expected to soon become elected a judge in Brooklyn’s Eighth Congressional District.
Borrok has received support from more than 16 elected officials in the Borough, including Council members Alan Maisel and Mark Treyger. He would rule on cases below $25,000, the New York Post reported. Borrok is best known for selling 14 Penn Plaza at 225 West 34th Street for a profit of $250 million in 2007, as The Real Deal reported.
He sits on a board called Business Executives for National Security, a nonpartisan group that aims to improve national security through business solutions. Cushman & Wakefield’s Bruce Mosler chairs the Washington, D.C.-based organization. [NYP] — Mark Maurer
