The July issue is live!

Big ideas in New York City’s real estate industry can either be short-lived or long-lasting concepts that set a new standard. This month, we surveyed top industry players to break down the latest influx of innovative concepts gaining steam in today’s market, from crowdfunding to condo-ing LED signs on buildings to using Google Glass to showcase properties. We take a look at the best of them in the cover story of our July issue, now available online.

We also unveil our annual ranking of Manhattan’s top residential agents. Douglas Elliman brokers Fredrik Eklund (of “Million Dollar Listing New York”) and John Gomes are on top with more than $500 million in listings and in-contract deals.

Next, we identify the riskiest development deals in Manhattan and look at how they compare to sales prices of nearby condominiums. The Real Deal reviewed over two dozen closed and in-contract property trades of $50 million and up from the last year.
