150 East 72nd Street

A century-old building at 150 East 72nd Street is being transformed into luxury condos. The former rental property, where legendary real estate broker Alice Mason was a longtime resident and held her famous dinner parties with ex-presidents, Hollywood A-listers and famous artists, is being developed by Macklowe Properties. The condos, which hit the market in early 2013, were 80 percent sold at press time. As of early July, there were three units available, with asking prices ranging from $8.9 million to $15.5 million. Interiors boast solid white oak floors, central air conditioning, custom Poliform closets, and custom wood cabinetry. The building has a doorman, a bike room and a children’s playroom. The residence was designed by Moed de Armas & Shannon and Handel Architects. Contact www.150east72.com or 212-545-5000.
