35XV at 35 West 15th Street

A 24-story condo project at 35 West 15th Street sits atop a six-story high school. Alchemy Properties won the green light to build the residence, called 35XV, after it paid $13 million for Xavier High School’s air rights. Xavier, a Jesuit high school for boys, used the money to expand and renovate facilities. The angled glass-and-stone tower comes with 55 units. Sales began in April 2013, and 34 apartments were in contract at press time. On the market as of early July were six units, ranging from a 1,868-square-feet two-bedroom to a 3,831-square-feet four-bedroom. Prices for available units range from $4.055 million to $12.65 million. The building has a fitness center, a residents lounge, a wine cellar and a children’s play room. FXFOWLE designed the building, and Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz handled the interiors. Contact www.35xv.com or 212-244-3515.
