UPDATED, 2:30 p.m., July 30: The Moinian Group received a partial stop work order on its 60-story rental tower at 605 West 42nd Street. The order was lifted later Wednesday afternoon following a visit from an inspector from the New York City Department of Buildings.

The development company, led by Joseph Moinian, was cited for “six randomly visible broken wires” on a crane at the site of the 80/20. The Department of Buildings issued the order on Friday. The DOB won’t lift the stoppage until the issue is resolved.

Three open violations were also found at the site, one of which is associated with a $1,600 fine.

The development at 42nd and 11th will have 1,174 rental units, 500 parking spots and 50,000 square feet of retail space. [NYO] — Claire Moses
