Forest Hills luxury condo building to open this fall

Known as the Aston, the developer is also switching up floor plans

 The Aston, a 17-story luxury development in Forest Hills, is set to open this fall and will add three-bedroom units to the building.

The 97-unit building — which architect Anthony Morali famously and inaccurately referred to as “The Great Gatsby” — initially featured 100 one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 800 to 1,200 square feet, according to Curbed.

However, due to demand from potential buyers, developer Cord Meyer has announced that he is modifying the plans to add six three-bedroom units.

The building is scheduled for completion in October. Sales are launching in September. [Curbed] Christopher Cameron

    I’m by no means a nimby, but the developer destroyed this block with the ugliest storefront I’ve ever seen.

    • Osito

      I would say you’re a NIMBY. The block was horrible before, with a one-floor temporary taxpayer. Now you have much-needed housing and actual permanent retail.

        No, I was actually glad to see new construction in the
        neighborhood. The CVS looks like it belongs in a strip-mall circa 1985.

    do you know that when you start hating something new, it means you are getting old

    To weld. Aesthetics, Function with Profitability in a development is the Art of the Deal;
    the original William Zeckendorphf (Sr.) would shout out that Cord Meyer is to be
    Reckoned with!
