For $4,975 a month, you can live like the mayor of New York City.

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s house in Park Slope is for rent, according to the New York Post. The 100-year-old house has a private garden and at least three bedrooms, but only one bathroom.

The home’s realtor, Tricia Webster of Brooklyn Properties, told WCBS/Channel 2 that “you’re getting a lot for what you’re paying.”

Are they accepting applicants from Section 8 tenants ?

  • Mayor

The mayor of affordable housing puts his own house up for rent at an unaffordable and ridiculous asking rent for a space in Park Slope with one bathroom! Nice move!

Dude this is not unaffordable as it is in park slope.
It’s a house with 3BR’s in Park Slope Brooklyn, NY not in the suburbs of middle America.
Where are you living in the slums of bk?
Wake up if you can’t afford to live here move to S.I., NJ or down south.
      That’s the solution.
Btw, it’s probably already rented as this went to press.

The median price for 3 bedroom rentals in Park Slope is currently $4,000 a month, 3 bed 1 bath median is $3,600. While unique in that is is 1-family, $5k a month is still expensive for this market.
