Town Residential’s Lindsey Owen, who was tapped last month to head the firm’s first overseas office in London, just jumped ship to Douglas Elliman, The Real Deal has learned.

Owen joined Elliman today as a member of broker Jared Seligman’s team at the firm’s 575 Madison Avenue office. She will be involved in expanding Elliman’s global reach, traveling to London and other cities in Europe.

Her last official day at Town was yesterday. A spokesperson for Town said Owen’s exit will not impact the plans for London, but didn’t say who would replace her. Last month, Town announced it would open its first international location in Central London, as TRD reported.

“During Lindsey’s three years in the business and at TOWN, she enjoyed great success and we wish her all the best,” the Town spokesperson said. “We look forward to collaborating with Lindsey back and forth across the pond.”

Owen declined to comment on the move.

Last month, Elliman officially partnered with London-based international brokerage Knight Frank Residential to develop a branding campaign in select Knight Frank locations around the world, including Hong Kong and Russia.

“She [Owen], like many other Elliman agents, will exponentially grow their business here at home and abroad. We’ve already seen tremendous results and we expect the momentum to keep skyrocketing,” Howard Lorber, chair at Elliman, said in a statement.

Meanwhile, major changes have been afoot at Town. President and COO Jeff Appel was terminated on Oct. 1, the same day that Andrew Heiberger returned to power as CEO of the firm.
