Dimitrios Contominas, who is facing fraud charges, bought unit in 2006 for $12.5M

Greek media mogul Dimitrios Contominas sold his 74th floor apartment at 25 Columbus Circle for $21.4 million, according to property records filed with the city Monday.

Contominas, the owner of Alpha TV, one of the biggest tv stations in Greece, also sold a storage unit at the Time Warner Center for $110,000.

Property records indicate that the buyer of both the approximately 3,000-square-foot apartment and the storage room is an LLC listed as Arcus Properties.

Contominas bought the three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom unit in 2006 for $12.5 million, according to property records.

Contominas was arrested in January on corruption and fraud charges in Greece. Officials claim the bussinessman received more than 100 million euros in unsecured loans from the Hellenic Post Bank. Contominas denies any wrongdoing.
