UPDATED October 22, 12:15 p.m.: Jennifer Lopez is Chelsea Clinton’s new upstairs neighbor.

The pop sensation is buying the penthouse at the Whitman — a four-unit boutique condominium on the north side of Madison Square Park — for $22 million.

J. Lo has been looking for new digs for a while. She also looked at apartments in Chelsea with celebrity broker Fredrik Eklund.

The buyer of the penthouse will have a famous upstairs neighbor. Chelsea Clinton, along with Clinton’s husband, Marc Mezvinsky, and the couple’s newborn, Charlotte, also reside in the Whitman.

Eklund posted the news on his Instagram account, according to Curbed. The penthouse at 21 East 26th Street first hit the market last August for an initial asking price of $25 million. The roughly 6,500-square-foot duplex has four bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms as well as more than 3,000 square feet of private outdoor space.

Besides Clinton, the other residents in the building are NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon and hedge fund manager John Silvetz, according to the website. [Curbed] and [6sqft]— Claire Moses
