Forget about asking your neighbor for a cup of sugar. The wealthy residents at the Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle will do better asking their fellow resident Robert Stiller for a cup of Joe instead.
Stiller, the founder of Green Mountain Coffee, bought a second apartment at the Mandarin Oriental residences at 80 Columbus Circle for $18 million, according to property records filed with the city on Tuesday. The 74th-floor pad has three bedrooms and measures just over 2,400 square feet. The seller is listed as FF Property Management, which is led by Vladislava Finskaya, according to city records.
Stiller, who also founded E-Z rolling papers — friend of stoners everywhere — in 1971, also owns the adjacent apartment on the same floor, which he bought from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for $17.5 million in 2011. Brady bought that unit in 2006 for $14 million, but reportedly never lived in it.
Earlier this year, the Vermont-based Stiller bought a $55 million home in Miami.
