Dimly lit, craft cocktail speakeasies have come and gone. But a new trend has hit the city that is taking the please-don’t-tell concept in a whole new direction: a “pizza speakeasy.” This week, Giulio Adriani, the pizzaiolo from Forcella, is opening SRO, which stands for Single Room Occupancy, in the back of Espoleta Tapas & Wine Bar at 334 Bowery, according to the New York Daily News.

It will offer Margherita pies and montanara (fried pizza), as well as a rotating list of daily specials. All pies will be sold as part of a $38 “tasting menu,” which includes a pizza, an appetizer and dessert, as well as one drink.
