Gilded Age carriage house asks $3.7M

The recently renovated home features a 150-foot tower

It’s a rare case when the carriage house trumps the original mansion. But this Gilded Age carriage house in Camden, Maine, which is asking $3.7 million, breaks the mold.

The five-bedroom home went through an exacting renovation at the hands of owner Sam Rowse, according to Curbed. Rowse replaced rotting beams and trusses and installed what he described as a “75-year roof you could park a semi on.”

The 5,656-square-foot home also features a pair of stone hearths, a kitchen with two antique, enameled cast-iron stoves and a 150-foot tower.
