Penthouse for $50 million at 551 West 21st Street was biggest deal
The first week of March saw 32 contracts signed for $4 million or more, 11 of which exceeded $10 million, according to the latest Olshan Realty luxury market report.
Buyers signed contracts for 24 condos, five co-ops and three townhouses last week. The most expensive contract was a condo at Scott Resnick’s 551 West 21st Street for $50 million. The duplex condo spans nearly 6,400 square feet, includes three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. The unit comes with 4,579 square feet of private outdoor space. The cherry on top at this penthouse unit is a 61-foot-long, outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the Hudson River.
A $38 million contract for the 15th floor of 778 Park Avenue came in second last week. The co-op includes a library, three bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The new residents will be able to light three wood-burning fireplaces and step out onto three separate terraces.The unit also includes a library and a separate dining room.
