The nearly 150-year-old firm is looking to open a “high-end showroom” similar to ones it already has in Chicago and Seattle, according to Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Jason Pruger, who is working with the Kohler, Wisconsin-based company to find the space, which would be as big as 10,000 square feet.

Kohler, whose tagline is “The Bold Look of Kohler,” would join similar home-decor brands like Waterworks, Design Within Reach and Restoration Hardware that all call the neighborhood home.

Average retail rents in the Flatiron District  are now $230 per square foot on Broadway and $370 per foot on Fifth Avenue, according to CBRE’s retail report for the first quarter of 2015.
