The Brasserie might leave Rosen’s Seagram Building

Seagram Building's iconic Four Seasons restaurant is also leaving the space

The Brasserie could follow The Four Seasons out of the Seagram Building.

The restaurant has been located in Aby Rosen’s tower since 1959, according to the New York Post. Patina Group leases the space. Now, sources have told the Post, Rosen is looking to boot the long-time tenant.

While the Four Seasons, known for its iconic pool room, is an interior landmark, the Brasserie is not. The eatery was renovated about 12 years ago, according to the newspaper. The two restaurants are connected inside the building — Brasserie has its entrance at 100 East 53rd Street — but it’s still unclear what Rosen’s plans are with the space.

Meanwhile, the Four Seasons is looking to relocate to SL Green and Vornado Realty Trust’s 280 Park Avenue. Rosen’s plans to renovate the space were put on hold in April, after he didn’t discuss plans to renovate his building’s exterior with the easement holder of the property. [NYP, 3rd] — Claire Moses
