The Upper East Side mansion at 39 East 72nd Street that was once home to heiress Gloria Vanderbilt just dropped its price to $42 million, a whopping $17 million less than what it listed for in April.

The Gilded Age mansion, at 39 East 72nd Street, is currently configured as apartments, but the buyer will get a CetraRuddy-designed conversion as part of the purchase, according to Curbed. The finished product would be an 11-bedroom, 10-bathroom single-family home with two terraces.

In April, it was listed for $59 million by the current owners, B+B Capital and Mink Development, who bought the property for just $19 million last year.

Vanderbilt, mother to Anderson Cooper, lived in the home when she was a child.
