Investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman inked an 11-year lease for almost 115,000 square feet at Mack-Cali Realty’s Harborside Plaza 5 along the Jersey City waterfront.

More than 500 BBH employees will move to the REIT‘s Class A office tower, according to an announcement from the landlord. The building spans more than 977,000 square feet and is 99 percent leased.

CBRE’s Scott Gamber, Robert Stillman, and Peter Gamber represented Brown Brothers Harriman. Chris DeLorenzo, Tom Savoca, Mark Ravesloot, Peter Turchin, Gerry Miovski, Suzanne Macnow, and Arkady Smolyansky represented Mack-Cali in-house.

Mack-Cali owns or has interest in 278 properties in the Northeast.

Last month, top Brookfield executive Mitch Rudin joined the landlord as its new chief executive officer. He succeeded Mitchell Hersh, who ran the company for 16 years. Former Lehman Brothers and Vornado Realty Trust executive Michael DeMarco was named Mack-Cali’s new president and COO. — Claire Moses
