UPDATED, 2:13 p.m., July 23: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld may be setting his sights on a better apartment after landing a new late night show on the cable network. He just sold his Tribeca co-op for $2 million.

Gutfeld, a former magazine editor and Huffington Post contributor who hosts The Greg Gutfeld Show on Fox News, bought the apartment at 261 Broadway for $1.7 million in 2013.

The 12th-floor, 1,200-square-foot co-op has two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The buyer, Catherine Montifiore, paid a little over the $2 million asking price in an all-cash deal.

Christopher Kromer and Nora Ariffin of Halstead Property had the listing. Kromer confirmed the deal.

In 2010, Gutfeld announced plans to open a Muslim-friendly gay bar adjacent to the planned Islamic mosque and cultural center at 51 Park Place, near the World Trade Center.
