Inside an award-winning Hamptons house

Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects picked up an AIA award for this Amagansett home

Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects has received an award for Excellence in Architecture from the Long Island Chapter of AIA for the design of this house in in the Dunes, Amagansett.

The house sits in an environmentally sensitive area, where it is exposed to harsh salt air, according to Curbed. To counter this, the architects covered the house with weather-resistant cement board panels that can withstand salt and sand.

Out back, the house walls of glass that “blur the line between indoor and outdoor space,” according to Curbed. It also features a green roof with a viewing deck and solar panels.
