Halstead broker Brian Lewis takes his listing video to the next level

Halstead Property broker Brian Lewis wanted to get some attention for his listing at 45 Christopher Street. But instead of the usual video tour and open house party, Lewis made a three-minute video that perfectly spoofs the typical self-important promotional real estate cheese.

The video opens in black and white with Lewis lounging on, and gently caressing, a sofa.

“You have freedom, because condo equals freedom,” he muses. “Liberty. No bars. Peace of mind. Let the eagle soar.”

People Magazine describes the ad as capturing “the suspense of The Shining coupled with the sensuality of Fifty Shades of Grey, both of which are only heightened by the Enya-esque soundtrack playing the background.”

Apparently, Lewis has been making off-beat listing videos for nearly 10 years.

“I had just seen a smug, proud-of-itself marketing video that made me laugh for all the wrong reasons,” Lewis told People. “So I thought, ‘Let’s just punk it.'”
