Mosafer, a high-end luggage maker, is opening its first U.S. store at APF Properties’ 24 West 57th Street in Midtown, known as the Gallery Building.

The Qatar-based firm, which operates 11 stores worldwide, moved into its 13,400-square-foot space at the building, launching a “soft opening” with only a selection of its wares available. It will hold a grand opening in the spring.

The space was formerly home to the Ana Tzarev gallery, the New York Post reported.

Amira Yunis of CBRE represented APF in the deal.

Last year, APF paid $188 million to Prudential Real Estate for 80 percent of 28 West 44th Street in Midtown. The two companies bought the building together in 2011 for $161 million. [NYP, 3rd item]Ariel Stulberg
