UPDATED, 3:37 pm, Dec. 28: The Long Island City home of artist Robert Lazzarini is in contract for $2.25 million, shattering the price-per-square-foot record in Queens.

The New York Post reports Lazzarini’s 1,154-square-foot condo at TF Cornerstone’s The View sold for $2.25 million, clocking in at about $1,950 per square foot.

Halstead broker Robert Whalen said the home was gone within a week of it being listed. The condo features a chef’s kitchen, big bedrooms and a membership to the Club at 4705 Center Boulevard. The new owners, who weren’t disclosed but were represented in the deal by Modern Spaces’ Mary Beth McGill, will have three miles of protected views of Manhattan.
