Though he probably didn’t author the listing for his Battery Park City condominium unit, the language describing Augusten Burroughs’ home includes poetic descriptors such as “condolicious.”

Apparently someone was persuaded because the “Running with Scissors” author has just sold his 615-square-foot condo for $637,000, 6sqft reported. The home is one of 286 units at 225 Rector Place, a 24-story condo building built by the Related Cos. in 1985. Kelly Deadmon and Brian Lewis of Halstead Property handled the listing.

Burroughs’ former partner Dennis Pilsits bought the home in 2008 and then transferred ownership over to the memoirist in 2011.

Yair Levy, of YL Real Estate Developers, who bought the building from Related in 2005, had launched a condo conversion but defaulted on the mortgage loan. Anglo Irish Bank foreclosed on the property, and Related bought the property back.

During an interview in 2009, Burroughs told the New York Times that, though many tenants were distressed by the foreclosure, the condo “fits the person I am. Not the person I’d like to be.” [6sqft] — Kathryn Brenzel
